Sunnah is The Second Revelation

Sh. Salih Al-Fawzan :

The Sunnah is the ‘Second Revelation’ after the Quran; it explains the Quran, clarifies it, elucidates it, and points toward its meanings. Furthermore, it may contain rulings that are not found in the Quran at all—such as the prohibition of being married to a woman and her paternal aunt simultaneously, or a woman and her maternal aunt simultaneously. This is not in the Quran; rather, it is found in the Sunnah.

السنة هي الوحي الثاني بعد القرآن تفسر القرآن وتبينه وتوضحه وتدل عليه وقد يكون فيها أحكام ليست في القرآن أيضاً مثل الجمع بين المرأة وعمتها والجمع بين المرأة وخالتها هذا ليس في القرآن وإنما هو في السنة،
